This was taken in South Luangwa NP in Zambia. A little while back I posted a male impala leaping but I almost cut him off on the right side. Fortunately I didn't make the same mistake in this shot. I think they are very graceful looking animals in the air.

Very nice! You are getting some very fine images with the 80-400VR lens. Nice work!

Sharp as a tack! The body position is great- it makes leaping look so easy. Another wonderful shot Nicole- you sure came back with a nice haul! 8)

What a great action shot. Great framing/cropping, nice light and you nailed the exposure. Great timing to get all feet off the ground simultaneously.

Congratulations on a super shot.

Way to stop the action. You caught this one at its peak. If the sharpness holds up, you might try cropping this to full frame. I'll bet it would have even more impact if it was filling the frame diagonally.

Terrific action shot! You certainly nailed the mid-air leap perfectly.

Great shot :D

So much for the 80-400 being a 'slow focus' lens.
