We had a special visitor this morning. About 9 AM this wonderful bobcat visited our yard. It was gracious enough to pose for 3 minutes (according to the time ...stamp on the images). Last time it or a relative visited for us to take pictures was Christmas day of 2013. We hear them and know they are there, but they are hard to see. This one was at the end of your property about 75 feet off our deck. Images made with 7D2 100-400 II and 1.4 TC @ ISO 1600, F8 and 1/400 sec

Beautiful detail in this large tom! I do see chrome or something similar in the BG above his back.

Thanks Joe,  yes the stuff on the left above his back is a black plastic flower pot.  The sharper edges reflect brighter.  I did try to minimize this effect.  The cat was prowling right along our property edge and took a pause at this spot.

Thanks Missy. We always keep a 7D2 with the 100-400 and 1.4 TC ready to go in our living room. You never know what will show up! Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it.

What a beautiful cat and it looks to be in great condition. You are so lucky to see this in your own yard and you certainly got a superb shot, the detail is lovely. Well done Ed and thank you for sharing him with us - its good to see you again!

Now that's a cat I wouldn't mind having in my yard! He sure is a good looking cat. Nicely done.
