 Common Squirrel Monkey Saimiri sciureus Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador

Hi everyone, I've recently returned home to British Columbia after spending five weeks photographing and guiding throughout Ecuador. While shooting from a canoe on a lagoon, deep in the Amazon Rainforest, some workshop participants and I were treated to some close encounters with Squirrel Monkeys. This young one was rather inquisitive and approached quite close to get a better view of us. It was soon scolded by an older member of the troop and returned back to the canopy to forage for fruit.
