Terrific action Robert, and a very unusual angle! The huge reduction in numbers is a shock.

Makes you wonder if its a sign of the way things are going Robert? or just a blip and numbers will get back to where they were. Either way I love the action here -a good view of the catching technique, I just wish the rump wasn't cut off.

Robert, fantastic action shot, the fish so close at hand yet possibly about to get away.  Really like the texture of the water - looks vigorous and icy cold.

I really love the perspective here... very unique.
On another note, it's sad to hear that the bear pop is down and the Salmon run was early. I fear that the tendrils of climate change are impacting nearly every well-established behavioral and migratory pattern in nature.

Perfect timing to catch the open mouth with teeth showing preparing to chomp down on the salmon.

Always good to see something a little different from this location. Sad though to hear the bear numbers are down...
