Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Landscapes Gallery, week ending 20th July, 2012!
Image
Sandstone slot canyons are such an iconic symbol of American southwest and their images can easily become a visual cliché. However, every photographer can still have his/her own unique vision and personal interpretation of the beauty of this wonderful landscape.

I detailed the making of this image in my Blog Post.

This photo is selected by Apple to showcase the incredible details and vibrant colors of the Retina display of the new Macbook Pro laptop computer they have just announced.

The inclusion of sky is rare in most shots of Antelope canyon and similar slot canyons. This is a treat for the eyes! I also like the variety of colors from nearly white to dull reddish to light brown along with blue sky and white clouds.

It's a beautiful image Yiming. It's certainly an image you don't see everything in terms of seeing a well exposed sky. Nicely done.

It's not that it's just different, it's all those lines, textures, shapes, colors and the sky just belongs there!! A truly delicious scene, outstanding Yiming.
