Here is one from Nome, AK June 2004. Just scanned it for the first time the other day. As I recall it was one of the last nights of the trip and this one was taken just after midnight. Our shadows were extending well beyond the bird, even after taking a low shooting position, thus some dark areas in the BG.

Eos 1vhs, 500mm IS, probably the 1.4x TC, Provia pushed +1, about 95% of the frame. A close look will reveal an egg on the tundra just in front of the bird.
