A picture that's worth a thousand words! A cow, with her yearling calf in tow, is investigated by a rutting bull with Maine's Mt. Katahdin's gorgeous Fall colors as the backdrop. Nikon F3, 80-200MM,Fuji RDP100, Gitzo tripod

Fantastic colours and what a nice family shot! Like the comp. Would make a nice pano too.

Gorgeous shot Mark! it also makes a very strong pano if cropped at the top of the first tree line - just below that dark shadow area coming in from the right edge. 8) :D

Very beautiful setting! And the bull is certainly doing his thing! You sure won't see moose in wonderful colors like those outside of New England.

Stunning! Beautiful backdrop to a very interesting foreground. Looks like a terrific place for people to unwind after finishing off an AT thru-hike!

A classic! Love it, both the animal interaction and the background. While I like it as it stands, it's also a very strong shot - but very different - when cropped to a pano as Nicole suggested.
