Not the same incredible story as Carol but we were in Chobe NP and had to be out before 6.30PM. A herd of elephants were crossing our road taking their time (why to be in a hurry!), so the driver sounded the horn at the last elephant who run a few meters away, than turned back and trumpeted vigorously at us.

Yes! They get very indignant at being beeped at Louis!!

Great capture to get this one with the trunk raised and head on pose too! Nice one!! :) 8) :D

I think this would also look good as a vertical portrait. 8)

Great pose

You know you're safe when the trunk is pointed up. They put the trunk between their front legs when they charge...usually :)

Nice shot Louis, well done.

Looks like its got a snorkel up to get some fresh air. Neat shot with the trunk so vertical.

I think a vertical or square crop might work better and bit of saturation or curve to bring out the colors.

I love the raised trunk and agree I would like it even more as a vertical.
