Rangipo Desert

Yes, we have a desert, of sorts.

I'm still trying to come up with a sharpening compromise for the LCD at home and CRT at work. Comments on that or anything else much appreciated, as always.

The sharpening looks perfect to me. I would have preferred less sky to make it more dramatic. It is a beautiful shot, I like the isolated, larger rock in the foreground a lot.

love the color. I would have cropped a little more of the foreground maybe up to the big rock.

Its hard to tell at this size Neil, but it all looks pretty good to me! I love the composition and the pink tones. 8) :D

Thanks everyone. It is full frame above. I hadn't thought to crop some but I think I like the idea.

Great colors! I agree with losing a little foreground but think the sky is good as is.

Nice shot Neil, I only had time to drive along the road with a couple of short stops here. Took one or two shots but knew they wouldn't work. Maybe next time?
