On my last post, there were requests for a couple of variations. Well, this being one of those exceptional kind of days I actually shot both of the requested variations. I once read something to the effect: "If it looks good, shoot it. If it looks real good shoot it again."

So, just for fun, here's a couple of variations on the theme. For me, the one above is a close second (the 'crackless' version). And here's one with the crack at an angle (a quick and dirty edit only): http://www.ericfredine.com/posting/variation_2.jpg.

Thanks,
Eric

They're ALL good. I like this one because the land and sky are tied together more.

I like this one over the first Eric...it all seems a little more symmetric to me. great shots and sight to see the patterns a very effective image.

Great patterns here. I think I'd prefer it less square, sacrificing some of the clouds.

Eric, I have always been partial to the first one. But I like the diagonal crack also. It looks like a trail that was left by something that just lifted off into .... where?

Eric, Very nice, especially with the pastel colors. I might prefer the version with the diagonal crack. IT seems very strange to have similar textures in the snow and clouds.
