Camera: Canon EOS 10D
Lens: Canon 17-40mm f/4 at 17mm
Exposure: 2.0s; f/16; ISO 100
Location: Konza Prairie Biological Station (Kansas)

"As to scenery, while I know the standard claim is that Yosemite, Niagara Falls, the Upper Yellowstone, and the like afford the greatest natural shows, I am not so sure but the prairies and plains, while less stunning at first sight, last longer, fill the esthetic sense fuller, precede all the rest, and make North America's characteristic landscape."
- Walt Whitman, Specimen Days, 1879

I concur.

Awesome image!

The sky alone is mesmerizing, but the foreground helps tell the stoty.

Congrats,

The natural draw that sucks you right into the image and into the horizon is great.!
while less stunning at first sight..
...so true it's all flat and dull looking unless you slow down and let the vastness draw you in...then the prairies and flat lands are so unique. :)

The blurred clouds and grass give it great feeling of time drifting by. A stunning shot IMO.

This is really beautiful. Would try to correct the perspective as an alternate to this.
