Jim, very nice scene. What I think gives it a boost is the formation of birds over the water. The overcast gray sky doesn't help but we take what we can get. I can visualize a pretty blue sky here instead, maybe your next visit. Incidentally, did you use hyperfocal? (I'm not familar with the G3)

Very nice. The birds add alot. I think it would be improved if you cropped some of the sky out.

The birds are great. Definitely looks better to me with some of the sky off. A great diversity of plants in the FG. Lots of interest there.
