This must have looked gorgeous when you were out there! Those clouds rolling over the mountains are wonderful! However, I feel that there might have been more potential in the foreground. Though there is quite a lot of nice detail in it, none of it really holds attention too long. Would it have been possible to let the water play a more important role maybe? If it is a stream or river, its line might have provided a path for the eye to follow if you could have gone closer to it.

Cheers!

Thanks, Art ....
for your comments. I have some other views with more water - will post later on. Trouble is with tundra like this, it is virtually impossible to walk through - some is frozen, some partially frozen, some boggy and very deep! Also, there is an issue with native lands that prevent one from straying too far from the track (no more than 50 feet) - I know this has been a serious issue with birders in the Seward Peninsula and there are some very rare species sought there.

Thanks for the reply Fish. I can imagine that the points you mention make it quite difficult to make the composition you would prefer to have. Your image does show that it's not easy-going terrain.

Cheers!
