One of the highlights of our Autumn trip, was camping alongside a small bay in central Norway, where to our delight we were able to observe an otter at length - its sleek body moving smoothly through the water - leaving behind a trail of glistening ripples - it really reminded us of Gavin Maxwell’s “Ring of Bright Water”:

As I didn't get any decent images of the otter, I leave you with this vista of the bay ;)

Thanks for the visit - have a great day

What a beautiful tranquil place to just stay and experience the wonders of the natural world, Sinuhe.

Ring of Bright Water is one of my all time favourite books.  :)

Great colors, serene mood and composition, Sinuhe. Pretty nice 'consolation prize', I hope the otter was more cooperative later.

A marvellous place to enjoy Sinuhe.  This is heavenly!  Although the Otter wasn't co-operative, sometimes watching is more than enough, particularly with this view to enjoy.

Ditto! Loved that book, and this is a wonderful scene to imagine that beautiful animal, even though we don't see it. Glad you got to enjoy it.

Really a nice view of this bay, such an incredibly golden light, a beautiful sky with a few clouds
and the reflection on the differently rippled water.

Very peaceful image. Makes you want to just sit there and watch it get dark.
