For over a year I'm using my LR catalog on an external SSD so I can connect it to my desktop and laptop and edit metadata (keywords) of new pictures while on travel. I use it with an e-sata adapter (dock) on the desktop and USB3.0 case with the laptop.
Now I'm considering moving the catalog to a m.2 SSD form factor and putting the 2.5' SSD as a LR cache disk only.
But I'll have to use only an USB3.0 case because of the form factor.

Do you think that I'll loose significant performance of the LR experience by using the catalog on an USB3 interface ?

Thank you.

USB3 is actually faster than eSATA 2.0
