My 24-105 has died and I am thinking it is time, have thought about it a while, to get the 2.8 lens I know I will use. Especially as in Iceland I would like that 2.8 for the wide angle stars. Now considering the price differences is the Tamron any good, especially at the wide end wide open? I have read quite a few "reviews" and again QC seems to be all over the place with Tamron but a good one is very good it seems?
