I'm hoping Tokina firms up their pre-announcement of a 70-200 f/4 way back in February with a genuine announcement and a shipping date. Not terribly interested in anything else. Except maybe that Samyang tilt-shift.

I haven't caught up to today's announcements yet (today in the USA that is - I know the D600 is today but here in the Pacific time zone, it was actually announced yesterday :) )

I'm interested to hear about the release of the Leica M10. Seems to have advanced from a "rumour" to a "worst kept secret", depending on who you ask...

EJ, you should probably mention the FF Sony NEX video camera too. I think that got announced in the last week as well.

Matthew, I'm trying to put stuff that is of most interest to this crowd here " I'm going to try to list items of interest to the NSN crowd here as they are introduced"

Never once has there been a post about new video cameras on NSN so I'm leaving those out.

looking forward to the new M4/3 lens 35-100 f 2.8 ...I am using M4/3 ( GH2 and OMD) for 80 % of my images these days and so far all is good... I find size doesn't really matter after all :)

OK EJ, just thought it would be of interest to folks that there is now a FF NEX in camcorder format and will likely be followed by a FF NEX in compact format soon enough. . . The only difference is really the form factors -- NEX is NEX -- video or stills.

It is somewhat dissapointing, that Canon did not announce any new lens so far during the Photokina event.
Now the event is almost over if I'm not mistaken.

Yes. It would have been nice for a 7D upgrade with improved AF, decent noise and DR but not so. Explains the big firmware upgrade though.
