Not wanting to reinstall CS4 cause the error only shows up when exiting the program. I've done all the preferences resets but no luck and only does it when using the 64 bit version. Running Vista 64 bit.

According to a google search, atio6axx.dll is indeed part of the ATI video driver, specifically the OpenGL part. Indeed could be triggering CS4 issues. Two things to try. #1 is make sure you've updated to the latest ATI driver. And if that doesn't fix it, then #2 is disable the advanced OpenGL features in CS4 preferences.

Thanks Royce ... I was running ATI driver 9.2 so updated to the latest 10.2 and all seems well now. Edited some things and no more crash on close.

Good. CS4 can be very unforgiving of old video cards, and old drivers for new cards. :)

Yeah my Nvidia 8800 series card died last year and I replaced it with an ATI 4870 1GB card and so far have been very happy with it. Seems they come out with a new video driver every month.
