Tricolor Heron

It has been a while since I photographed any herons, but it was a bit dull and this guy was quite cooperative. It turned into a really nice shoot. Just goes to show don't be too snobby about the subjects. The way he fluffed his feathers made me think of a kind of sketchy treatment would work.

Heck, this stands out so well Jeff. Those feathers and treatment makes this work well. Tell ya what, I wish I could shoot birds like you guys. Sometimes I get a bit jealous :wink: Just something I can't seem to pick up. Probably got my eyes focused downward too much :D . Anyway, love it and nice effect Jeff.
