An idea I got from a clever filter I remember seeing that had red green & blue filters fitted on a wheel.

3 images of the stream taken one after the other with the bg and fg stationary, so only the stream moves between shots. The 3 shots then mixed down to red, green and blue in channel mixer. The three images were then brought together and layers blended in difference mode.

clever idea Colin -- the color contours follow the flow convincingly!

maybe desaturating the rock a bit would make the effect even more dramatic?

Gary - I think your right, I boosted the saturation for the colours in the stream & although I did apply a mask I don't think it was a strong enough mask.

Carol - Sure is a gorgeous location, Ashness Bridge near Keswick - the most famous little old bridge in the world (well in the English lakes anyway) . Compulsory on all calendars.

Yes I've a couple of shots, will have a sort through them in a bit and post one for you. To be honest I've quite a few slides of Ashness Bridge too that I haven't got round to scanning yet

Give me a shout when you are heading up this way, be good to meet you and Dave at last.

Wow, Col, you are going really psychedelic on us

Love the scene, I would tone the colors on the water down a bit. Will go take a look at the European Forum to check the rest of the images. It looks like a nice place. Will try to go when I visit the UK (when, not if  )

Don't drink the water Colin :D Electrifying work M8t and I can see a troll living under there. Great perspective and comp. Just waiting for the Rainbow trout to jump out of the water.

All the best Colin, gotta love those colours.
