dof is indeed much better than in the shot of Hans ! bg is not too distracting, only a bit too dark i.m.o; fine work!

A great find and a real pleasing image. Although I am not familiar with this species I think that perhaps the whites could be just a tad brighter. Not really a nit and possible that it’s my monitor, still a wonderful image

I can not be the judge of your monitor :-) but I think the "colors" are quiet natural: you can see that on the blue/grayish eye spots.
