Somehow this reminds me of a riveter on some sort of mechanical construction

There is a lot to like about this shot and I think you have captured some very fine detail in the main subjects. I would confess however that I think the BG does not help show off this subject matter to best effect. Assuming that this is an un-cropped image I would suggest that cropping to a panoramic format would create a much stronger, more balanced shot. Still a pleasing image and I like the viewing angle that one sees the bug at, very unusual.
