I think this image probably speaks to your love of the landscape. It has the feeling of a personal expression. Your choice to isolate this section instead of a wider view presents a more intimate portrayal. Rainbows are arches of reflected color and yet you allow the viewer to complete that arch in their minds. There is a tiered approach compositionally with a large expanse of sky which conveys space. The horizontal lines of the landscape are borken by the double rainbow. The clouds almost mimic the shapes in the mountains. The tones are all soft, even the rainbows, giving a peaceful feeling, yet there is drama as well. The image overall is almost dream-like. I think the placement of the tree in the lower-center, with it's white trunks, to strongly ground the image and provides powerful contrast to this otherwise dark and mysterious area. Compositionally also there is great depth and balance in this square format.
