For most people its not a big deal, 80% infected have no symptoms ... BUT if you are pregnant then there is evidence that the virus may cause microencephaly in your foetus (not proven, but it's looking that way) so women of childbearing age need to think carefully before travelling. If they live in affected areas they have greater problems. You and I live in Canada and adjacent states though and the mosquito that is spreading this virus can't cope with our climate.
