Golden Poplars

It's a little past peak foliage here in northern WI, but I couldn't get up to the lake house last weekend, so I had to make do. I am messing around with the new 5D. It seems to have really good dynamic range. This image shows that off well, although not so much at this small size compared to what you can see at the largest size. This was taken with the 35mm f/1.4L lens, which is a killer combo on the 5D. The image is 1/50s, f/4, Av mode, center-weighted metering, ISO 200. I used a B+W Kaesemann polarizer to add some pop to the colors and saturate that blue sky. The late afternoon sun illuminated the poplar leaves and made them glow.
