hey guys

another shot from my rainy day 'session'!
i have about 8 variations of this one...a bunch being shot in iso 400 (stupidity and absentmindedness, not switching it back to 100 after grabbing a shot of a woodpecker...*sigh*...lol)

what do you think, and i really mean it;) ;)

I'd hate to say it again but I like this with some of the bottom cropped off. :)

I agree on the crop of the bottom... or maybe a little more room at the top and left. But otherwise this is very nice.

I like this one but submerged leafs bother me a little. I like the crop as is.

i'm not sure those are leaves...i think they may be those fungus things that grow on trees...
the bigger one looks like it may be a leaf though...

i think a 4x5 format would be better for this shot ;)

thanks for looking guys!
much appreciated!

Very interesting! I
like the central placement of the log in the frame and the color of the leaves gives it punch.

I love the idea Vito but wish the log was more interesting - I think the fact that its lacking in more striking surface/bark detail spoils it for me. I agree with you that the u/w attachments look like fungi - what a shame there weren't one or two above the water line for added interest. 8) :D

thanks carol :-D

it was the red leaf and the reflections that drew my eye, to the scene. I agree, the tree could be more exciting ;)
