My goal of a trip out West this Spring was to make it to the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness in New Mexico and find this hoodoo. You could spend many days there and not see all the weird formations hidden in its badlands.

This one is an autopainted photo that I then painted over to touch it up in Corel Painter.

Wild textures, Jerry- like the sense of motion and flow. Makes an interesting abstract.

This has an energy and an almost 'untamed' quality that is so befitting its wilderness setting Jerry! It feels alive and I love it!

A beauty Jerry -- love it! The clouds seem to wrap around the hoodoo on the left -- maybe it look more natureal if they were "straight"?

I know what you mean, I did try different strokes on the sky. Attached is a version that was close to the actual blue sky but the hill was a lighter shade of tan. Done with Snap Art.

Thanks for posting the alternate version Jerry. I see now why you posted the more Van Goghie brushwork -- I prefer it too!
