The guy who introduced this is completely in the pocket of the mining industry and wants to pen all AZ lands, including the Grand Canyon for mining - specifically Uranium Mining in the Grand Canyon. He wants to take the Grand Canyon back from the Fed and turn it into a big giant Uranium mine. There is another AZ legislature member, in the state legislature that wants to use all National Forest land for logging. She has a clear-cut the entire state strategy and she is selling it as a way to stop wildfires in AZ. In this state, pretty much the more extreme your position is, the better chance you have getting elected.
