This is a red-tailed hawk (young bird) that we photographed last Nov. We found this hawk on a nice perch diving at coots, he made several unsuccessful attempts (which was great for us ). The light was already getting a bit harsh but I like the intensity of action and the expression in his face

Hope you like it too

I'm glad you made it over to shot with me over the holiday and we sure had a ton of raptor activity over those few days.
This guy was great as he offered us multiple opportunities as he hunted coots back and forth from this perch. Beautiful pose and killer details.

Excellent moment captured. I like the arch of the perch nestled in the corner.

Best,

Matt

Nice timing on catching the take off pose, lovely wing stretch with nice details. Really like that intense look on the Hawks face.
