The MA coast gets lots of beautiful and colorful wintering ducks. This one was taken over the weekend.

I always find it challenging to expose correctly for birds with so many colors, so feedback welcomed for sure.

Please consider opening in full view.

All comments and critiques welcomed.

Thanks for looking.

Best,

Matt

Superb species...would love to see little lower angle shot.

James,
Great image of this species, any cropping? As to the multi-color exposure I've found that in cases like this, using the lasso tool and selecting the whites, then reducing the brightness a bit will bring out feather detail but no reduce much from the whites.

Nice pose and exposure control on this fine frame. I like the colors and I can't believe how red the feet are. Well done

Nice details in the darks and the whites still appear intact so i think you are fine on the exposure. Well done.

Thank you for the comments, everyone.

Dean - Thank you for the processing suggestions. I appreciate it. This photo is about a 30% crop. Wish I could have gotten a lower angle, but I was on a raised dock.

Water sure is sweet blue. Makes the red feet really pop.
