I have been speaking/guiding at the Laredo Birding Festival the past 3 days. Photographing while bird guiding is generally not a good idea as it means you're not focused on clients/attendees, but I did manage a quick few seconds distraction to grab this frame!

Hope you enjoy it.

Wish I had the foresight to close down a bit to get his tail in full focus, but I didn't have much time to prepare given the guiding.....

Cheers,

Dorian

Wonderful colors. I like the way its right talons are wrapped around the small outcropping of the perch.

Great pose and the exposure was handled very well against that dark BG. Beautiful shot.
Thanks for looking,

If I had an hour to prepare while the bird was glued to the perch, I could not have done better. Awesome shot, Dorian.

Best,

Matt
