Another one from an awesome encounter I had a few years ago with this very cooperative Kestrel. She had just robbed a Sharp- shinned Hawk of its meal, a Savannah Sparrow, and came back to this perch to feed in front of us.
Needles to say, my friend and I were elated about the drama that unfolded in front of us.

Awesome image David. I find it difficult to find a cooperative kestrel so you got lucky in that regard.

David I don't even know where to begin! The action, the composition, the detail, the background but mostly the story has left me breathless! Bravo!

David, quite the nature story, amazing to both witness and get such a beautiful shot of her with the prize - she and the pose look absolutely fierce and the unique bird prey item further sets this apart - fantastic image.

One of the best Kestrel images that I have seen, pure magic, does not get any better than this.
