Great shot! I only ever see these in the winter so the ice is very appropriate, at least to me. Nice to see him hauled out!

Nice lighting and great work on keeping detail in the whites in a most contrasty and bright situation. I love looking at longtail ducks but they can be one of the ultimate issues of exposure. You did well.
