D800

ISO 1000

1/5000 s

300 mm f/4 with 1.4x conveter

no f/stop would have both in focus...

I like the way they interact near the nest... when one comes in the other one starts to move and flap about. Wonderful to watch. I  thought the timing of this image fun.

Thanks for looking.

The OOF bird in the background is distracting as it is right behind the beak of the bird in the foreground, It would
have been nice to see some interaction images near the nest as you have mentioned. I do like how the bird is holding
up the wing.

Well spotted Mike!  She must have ambitions to join the traffic police.  A fun image and good timing to catch her pose.  :D

Yes it can be if you are not looking for the fun in the shot . I have more interaction shots that do fit the mold.  Thanks.

Thanks Carol! Just having some fun here.

I like your interpretation. It is all about variety in our images. I am not for pretty man-made perches ALL OF THE TIME or for all of the other rules ALL OF THE TIME

It was good I was shooting shutter priority  at 1/5000 s -  anticipating and darn right looking for action shots that day.

SO glad you see the fun in it. Hope it made YOU smile because then it was worth it.

this is a great fun shot

It reminds me of drivers who signal left and turn right.
