Shasta County
This species has been a nemesis of mine.  Most of my previous images included busy, unattractive backgrounds and uneven lighting on the subject.  I was able to capture a few images this morning which I like.  7D, 500/F4+1.4, F8, 1/100, ISO 400, -0.3EC, tripod.  Thanks for any comments or suggestions, Dave

The bird looks great David. These guys are tough to get nice clear shots of. Would be nice to have a better perch, but I would take this in a heartbeat.

David, a tough species to get. Love the singing pose. Warm this up a bit and it will look better IMO.
