A fellow was out here from Calgary yesterday whom I took around to try and photograph a few species he had never seen or photographed before. One was this Pacific Wren. So this gave me a chance to photograph this species with my new D7200 (which I am loving) :)

These are fun birds to photograph, especially when you can get then on a perch like this. If this were mine I think I would brighten it up a bit and leave more room at the top. It looks a little tight up there to me.

Beautiful Tim! Would like a little more room up top and maybe a little decentering of the subject, but the light, perch and bg are stellar.

You guys and your killer perches out on the island, sweet little bird. I have 3 Wren species now but not one of these.

It looks great to me Tim. They look to be as small and flight as our wrens here in Australia.

Just caught this one Tim.....wonderful! The delicateness of this tiny little life is portrayed beautifully.

I was pondering whether a different crop where there is a little less perch on the right competing and placing the bird a bit lowering so it looks like he is even more little, but bravely, looking out into the abyss of his world.

Love the shot and congrats...

Great one Tim . Have to agree with the others about it being a little tight on the top .
The perch and light are beautiful....
