A magpie on a granite boulder at Rocky Mountain NP in September 2010. Their iridescence seems to be amplified in the high mountain air. One lady was trying to figure out what they were and said that it was too colorful to be a magpie!

Not too bad! Every once in awhile I'll have this bird roam around my yard here in southwest Kansas, but I've yet to get a good image.
