Survived the Feast

I found a small flock of turkeys feeding on berries in this tree. The light was really low (iso 1600, 1/40 @ f4). I like this shot for the color and the movement in of the turkey's left foot.

Nikon D300 + 200-400mm vr1

Good job fitting the big bird in the frame, Bruce!
Ideally you want bit more dof but the low light didn't help.

Cool pose here, Bruce! Interesting to see him up in a tree like this. I remember seeing a flock at least 15m up a red alder, feeding on catkins - a strange sight. I would suggest toning down the lighter tones in this shot as to my eye, it seems a little washed out.
