Bar-tailed Godwit in full breeding plumage roosting in high tide. This was taken days before they all left Australia in their long journey to their breeding grounds in Asia. Only a few were in full breeding plumage.

great detail and light. Like the progressive OOF birds as BG and the reflection in the FG. Has a feeling of a painting being a photograph.

I really like this Ofer. The colours are great and I love that the OOF bird in the BG is the total opposite of the subject but with the same pose... white, with eye closed. For me, that really adds to the image. Great shot!
