Pocket Gopher

This past winter while I was photographing on the Laguna Seca Ranch, this little Pocket Gopher poked its head outside the dirt tunnel it calls home. Although the foreground grass is somewhat distracting, I did my best with it. One doesn't often have the opportunity to see or photograph this terrestrial subject.
