Great close up portrait Chris, but you need to fine tune your autofocus a bit. Looks to me like your focus starts at about the right side ear and goes back from there. The camera's focus point needs to come forward.

A great job of capturing this adorable fellow but the focus does appear off which is a bit of a shame

One of the most difficult combinations to photograph- wet fur, water and full sun! So many reflective surfaces to fool the focus. Early morning and late afternoon light are good times for these conditions, and they are also good times to see these lovely animals. I love the classic inquisitive pose but as already said, the focus lets you down in this instance.
