After 97 years of active sea duty, the Mary D. Hume rests just a few hundred feet away from her birthplace in the harbor of Gold Beach, Oregon. This ship is actually on the National Register of Historic Places.

I took this in late May and, after viewing some enlarged details during editing, intended to return there for more shooting over the last weekend. However, this plan had to be cancelled due to a schedule squeeze I got myself into. I'm currently setting up a shop for matt cutting and learning the trade in the process. That also explains my recent absence on this forum.

A great photograph is absorbed by the eyes and stored in the heart.

Nice comp. The boat appears a tad hot and I think a mild burn would bring out the texture a bit more. Thanks for posting in EHK.
