I have several of the startech enclosures which match your description http://www.startech.com/HDD/Enclosures/USB-3-0-Enclosure-for-3-5-SATA-Hard-Drives-with-UASP~S3510SMU33   They work well; never had any problems.

As E.J. always points out any enclosure you get should be fan cooled. The newest one I now have is a Rosewill that I purchased from Newegg. I have had four Rosewill enclosures over the last few years and they all have worked flawlessly. The one I purchased which I link to here has a variable speed fan that adjust automatically according to your specified temperature alarm point. Temperature readout along with the fan RPM readout. All that stuff of course in not completely necessary but it i nice to have feed back on the drive enclosure. Anyway just make sure you get a fan cooled enclosure and you will be much better off.

Hey Bob, I've been using units from these guys for years and they are tanks. Spendy but all parts are replaceable if
needed. I had to replace a fan once as it was noisy. They are very helpful on the phone.
