Many places to stay in Socorro, New Mexico when photographing birds at Bosque del Apache.  Most if not all of the participants in the recent Naturescapes Bosque Tour led by Nikhil stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, as did my family and friends when we were there at the first of this year.  About $120 a night.  Somebody said I was looking down my nose by stating I stayed there.  Odd.  Holiday Inn is considered by most to be a mid grade lodging.  Nothing snobby about staying there as far as I can tell.

Many Naturescapes Tours use Holiday Inn as home I believe.  My friend, Roger Gildersleeve, was on recent tour at Bosque with Naturescapes, and he and the Naturescapes gang stayed at Holiday Inn Express.  He is here visiting with us in San Diego now.  Once again, he is staying at the Holiday Inn in La Mesa California, which is very handy for all the hot bird spots in San Diego.

Anyway, the Bosque thread got side tracked talking about Chili, or Chile.

Any other places to stay in Socorro with prices?  Come on, staying at the Holiday Inn is not exactly high rolling.
