I agree. I'll bet you are right. Drone props are on top. It seems much more likely than not, that the eagle was severely injured.
These drones are not good for wildlife, except maybe in the hands of researchers. Too many irresponsible people out there. Too little regulation out in the country, where the wildlife live.
