The GH2 with the 100-300 gives a 35 mm equivalence of 600 mm is a great light weight combo. Taken in RAW formats the files can be cleaned up easily as with other digital cameras. I do post processing in Bridge to Camera Raw to CS5 for final output Shutter lag is not a real issue and focus is spot on and quick and responsive. I hand hold use the eye piece for shots freehand ( I have the Own User grip attached) but tend to use the touch screen when on tripod similar to live view
