This caterpillar slowly crawled up the stem, so slowly it put my nerves to the test. But I waited because I knew this would be the photograph I had wanted for a long time. It's just so great to enjoy these small creatures that seem to have all the time in the world.

About the Photographer
Besides being a nature photographer, I am a policeman by profession. I became serious about photography about 18 years ago. Almost every hour of my spare time I spend on photography and searching for different species from insects to large mammals. NatureScapes.Net still is a great source of inspiration for me. With deep respect for my subjects, I think photography is the best way to enjoy nature. Some favorite photographs are on my website,
