View from my Caravan

This is a view from the awning of my caravan, parked on a little rive in the rain. It was an excellent spot for birds and I would go back again readily. You can see the dull light I had for most of my photography while there.

Nikon Z 6 11 with 24 -120 S F4 lens @ 24.
f8, 1/164. ISO 720
Manual, HH.

I have recently upgraded to this Z lens but it is not as sharp as my old 24-70 f2.8 lens so I think I will save up for the Z version despite the weight.

A lovely peaceful setting- really nice composition. I like the glimpse of water too. Interesting trees-what are they?

Hi Cynthia. They are gum trees, River gum trees. Most of the australian parrots nest in hollows in these trees. Many specimens are 4-5 hundred years old, though these are younger.

A wonderful spot!
Nice detail in this...the gum tree bark would make for some interesting texture images
