Eastern Bluebird

The image was shot this afternoon. 
The Bluebird dropped down to the water level and came up with this bug like creature.

Always nice to see a Bluebird image, Karl. I would think that most of the Bluebirds in our region would have migrated South by now, so perhaps this individual is going soon. Not many insects present either in late November, so somewhat of a special photographic capture to-day!

Thanks Paul. Sometimes they overwinter here. There is a Cemetery in Burlington area with Bluebird boxes. There were several Bluebirds there about four years ago in the middle of the Winter. In Guelph, there were several overwintering ones at the Jesuit Center last year. They might eat berries as well.

Great eye contact and the little bug adds to it, and interesting that they might stay there over winter.
