My storage and backup solutions have always been pretty simple:  One storage drive in the computer (OS/apps on a separate SSD), and two more in external enclosures, one of which is kept off site. When 1 TB was too small,  I switched all three out for 2 TB drives, and so on.  My current drives are 8 TB, and are now almost full.

I could simply buy three new 16 TB drives, but perhaps it's time to reevaluate...

I've never used RAID or NAS, but perhaps it's time to think about these options.  I don't have any old drives lying around to use, however.  I destroyed my old drives before I left Canada.  So everything will have to be new, other than three 8 TB drives.

I would welcome suggestions on how to proceed.

Thanks!

A pretty good and easy option that goes all the way up to 24TB now are the Lacie 1BigDock drives.
